Can the fortune tree be propagated by cuttings? How to propagate by cuttings?

1. Can it be propagated by cuttings?

The money tree is a common ornamental plant in life and is loved and welcomed by people. If you have a money tree at home, you can cut branches yourself for cuttings, and you can also cultivate new plants. The cutting operation is relatively simple and does not require complicated steps, but you must pay attention to the method, otherwise the possibility of survival cannot be guaranteed.

2. How to take cuttings

1. There are not many restrictions on the time for cuttings. Cuttings can be taken in spring, summer and autumn. As long as the temperature can be reached, cuttings can also be taken in winter. In order to increase the survival rate, you can choose April or May in spring.

2. Observe the growth status of the money tree, cut off strong branches from it, ensure that there are full axillary buds on the branches, and keep the length at about 10 cm. It does not need to be too long and there must be nodes on it. In addition to adjusting the length, you also need to remove the lower part of the leaves.

3. After preparing the branches, you can then plant them in cuttings. You can plant the branches in a sand bed prepared with vermiculite, perlite, and river sand, or you can plant them in clean water. Both methods are acceptable.

4. After cutting, maintain a suitable temperature, provide appropriate shading to ensure diffuse light exposure, and then it will take root.
