5 types of ornamental bamboo suitable for indoor placement

1. Asparagus fern

To be precise, Yunzhu is not a bamboo, but it is green all year round, its joints are like bamboo, and it has the proud posture of bamboo, so it is also called "bamboo" by people.

Asparagus fern has many smooth small branches, and the leaf-like branches are distributed in floc-like clusters, floating like feathers. The stems and leaves embody the combination of hardness and softness, and ease and elegance. Asparagus fern likes to grow in a warm and humid environment, but it is not resistant to severe cold and drought. It needs climate control and watering, and is suitable for indoor planting.

2. Lucky Bamboo

Most people choose to grow lucky bamboo in vases or potted plants at home. Although it is not as gorgeous as flowers, it is called lucky bamboo because of its upright branches and beautiful leaves, which symbolize peace and wealth.

The stems of lucky bamboo are relatively slender and branched, and the color is dark green. It does not require much light and prefers a humid, semi-shady environment. The best temperature is room temperature 17~24℃, which is one of the reasons why it is suitable for home cultivation.

3. Bamboo

The characteristics of bamboo palm are that it has no segments and its stems are relatively slender. It is suitable to be grown in places with good ventilation and drainage, but generally speaking, it does not have high requirements for the environment. It prefers a semi-shaded and humid environment and should not be exposed to direct sunlight. It grows best when the air humidity is high, so it is suitable to spray water appropriately to clean the leaves and keep the air moist.

4. Lily Bamboo

Nowadays, many garden decorations widely cultivate lily bamboo because its leaves have a special color, golden in the middle and green on the edges. It has a high ornamental value and is full of elegance. For indoor viewing, there are also hydroponic lily bamboos, which appear more thorough and elegant.

Lily bamboo likes a moist, high temperature, semi-shady environment. It can adapt to both drought and wet conditions, and grows particularly luxuriantly in seasons with higher temperatures.

5. Lotus Leaf Bamboo

This kind of bamboo is quite ornamental, and because it has another nickname "Guanyin Bamboo", its shape is similar to a lotus when viewed from the top of the plant, hence the name. It has large, relatively broad leaves and dense branches and foliage.

Lotus leaf bamboo is mostly grown in water, so it needs to be shaded and placed in a warm place, especially away from direct sunlight. It is very suitable to place it indoors.
