Cultivation methods and precautions of red cicada flower

Living habits

First of all, because the plant is native to Brazil, the temperature is relatively important, especially in winter. In addition, it has relatively high requirements for light. We all know that light is relatively sufficient in low-latitude areas. In addition, it also has some requirements for factors such as moisture, which we will introduce in detail below.

Specific methods

Light: We have already talked about the degree to which plants crave light. Although a slightly shaded place is acceptable and will not cause too much damage to the plants, the corresponding consequence is that the plants will bloom less and the quality may be poor. So, let's give it as much light as possible.

Temperature: The suitable temperature for its growth and development is between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius, so try to keep the temperature within this range. In addition, it has poor cold resistance. If the temperature is lower than 7.5 degrees in winter, its growth will be inhibited. Therefore, if the temperature is relatively low in winter, we need to prepare early and put them indoors in time.

Water and humidity: It has high requirements for water. If it is too wet, the roots will be damaged and even other diseases will occur; if it is too dry, it will affect the absorption of fertilizer. We can water it more in summer and less in winter. In addition, its requirement for air humidity is between seventy and eighty percent.

Soil: In order to make the substrate have enough organic matter, we can choose leaf mold and add some coarse sand for preparation. In addition, its drainage performance should also be paid attention to.

Precautions

Plants may shed leaves during the winter, which is normal. Don't worry too much, as they will sprout new leaves in the spring.
