The cultivation methods and precautions of milkweed

Temperature requirements

Although it likes to grow in a warm environment, the temperature is higher in summer, so it should be placed in a place with good air circulation, and spray water to cool it down. If the temperature drops to 0 degrees in winter, it will be frostbitten, and it will stop growing at 10 degrees. Therefore, it should be moved indoors for breeding in winter.

Moisture requirements

Spring, summer and autumn are its growing seasons. It should be watered about once every 3 to 4 days in spring and autumn, and once every 1 to 2 days in summer. However, watering can also be carried out according to actual conditions. For example, on sunny days or when the temperature is high, the number of watering can be increased, while on rainy days, the watering cycle should be extended, or watering can be stopped directly.

Sunlight requirements

Except for the overly hot sun in summer, it can be placed directly in the sun in other seasons. However, the midday sun in early autumn is still very strong, so appropriate shade is required.

Nutrient requirements

Because it can be in flowering period all year round, it needs a lot of nutrients. During the growing season, fertilizer can be applied every 5 to 8 days. Fertilization should be suspended on rainy days. In winter, fertilizer should be applied every 10 to 15 days. When applying fertilizer, try to stay away from the roots and avoid splashing it onto the surface of the plant, especially the flowers.

Soil requirements

It can adapt to many different soils, so it can be planted in ordinary soil.
