How to cultivate winter red

How to cultivate winter red

Environment selection

The locations for breeding vary from region to region. For example, in tropical regions, they can be planted directly in courtyards or gardens for both viewing and greening. However, in temperate regions and areas with lower temperatures, they need to be grown indoors.

Water requirements

It blooms at the end of winter and lasts until the early spring of the following year, but watering should be reduced during the flowering period, which is the opposite of the flowering period of other plants. A drier environment will make it bloom better, so the soil can be made drier before flowering, but it does not mean that no water should be given, just don't let it be too wet. Watering at other times can be done according to the condition of the soil. If the upper layer of the soil appears dry, you can water it. Do not allow the soil to be too wet for a long time, and do not allow water to accumulate.

Temperature requirements

It is not afraid of high temperatures in summer, but cannot resist low temperatures in winter. The most suitable temperature for its growth is between 23 and 32 degrees.

Sunlight needs

Its growth cannot be separated from sunlight, and it needs sunlight more than any other plant. However, if it is in an environment with insufficient sunlight for a long time, it will stop growing or have other problems that affect the health of the plant.

Fertilizer requirements

Autumn is the main period for applying fertilizer, especially after its leaves fall, sufficient fertilizer should be applied; sufficient fertilizer should also be applied in spring, and sufficient water should be applied after fertilizing.
