Cultivation methods and precautions of Dendrobium densiflorum

Cultivation methods and precautions of Dendrobium densiflorum

Plant characteristics

First of all, it prefers a warm and humid environment and requires an annual rainfall of more than one thousand mm. Secondly, it also has certain requirements for the humidity of the air. In addition, it does not have very high requirements for fertilizer and does not have too many requirements for soil. The only two points that need attention are air permeability and water filtration.

Specific methods

Choice of containers and planting materials:

Don't underestimate this step, it will have an important impact on the future growth and development of the plant. Usually, we choose plastic or ceramic flower pots with many small holes around them, and choose peat moss, charcoal blocks, etc. as materials. As for the size of the container, it should be determined according to the size of the specific plant. The gap cannot be too great, and too small plants cannot be placed in pots that are too large. In addition, the materials we choose need to be soaked in water for more than one day before use. The bottom of the container we choose should also be padded with some tiles or bricks, and it doesn't need to be too deep. Then we can place the plant in the center and fix it, and then put in other growing materials.

Watering:

We mentioned above that it likes a humid environment, so moisture can be considered a very important factor. For newly planted plants, we don’t need to water them yet. We can sprinkle some water on the leaves first. After about ten days or half a month, that is, after the new roots have grown out, you can carry out normal maintenance. During the peak growing season, water the plant once a day, and spray some water on the ground when it is very dry.

Precautions

When we plant plants, we should pay attention to separating the roots with the planting materials we have prepared, so that they are easier to survive.
