How to store bell peppers

Main measures

Fruit Basket Method

1. Take a bamboo basket and cover the bottom and four circles of the basket with a layer of kraft paper. This will remove excess moisture.

2. After filling it up, seal it tightly and place it in a location where the temperature is not high and the air circulation is good. If the temperature is too high, it will easily accelerate the growth of bacteria and make the bell peppers go bad faster.

3. Sort it out every ten days or so. This method can store it for two months.

Tank storage method

1. Friends who have a tank at home can choose this method. The model does not need to be too big, small or medium-sized will be fine. But one thing needs to be noted: do not put peppers directly into the clean jar. Use 1% bleach solution to disinfect it and then dry it before use.

2. There are requirements for placing them. You can't just place them straight. The pepper stems must be placed facing upwards. Just put them on layer by layer. At this time, you can use a film with three or four small holes to seal the cylinder mouth.

3. The temperature at the prevention and treatment location should not be too high, eight to ten degrees is enough.

Bag storage method

1. If you don’t want to go through so much trouble, you can choose a plastic bag of 40 to 50 centimeters, but there must be an air vent in the middle of the bag.

2. Put in the bell pepper and tie the mouth tightly. The placement can refer to the two above.

3. If there are water droplets in the bag, ventilate it once or twice a week. If you find rotten peppers, take them out in time.

Tips

Friends who have the conditions can choose to store in cellars or in wood ash, but most friends prefer the methods mentioned above, which are simple and convenient and do not require too much space.
