How to store passion fruit

How to store passion fruit

Storage method

Store at room temperature in a dry place

At room temperature, you can directly place the passion fruit in a ventilated place to maintain a dry environment, but this method can only preserve it for about a week.

Store in the refrigerator

Wrap the passion fruit with plastic wrap and freeze it in the refrigerator to extend the shelf life of the passion fruit. You can eat it after thawing, but this method will slightly reduce the taste.

Storing passion fruit juice

After extracting the passion fruit juice, put it into a mold and freeze it into popsicles. You can use it at any time. This method can preserve passion fruit for a long time, up to one year.

Preserving passion fruit jam

Wash the passion fruit, cut it open and take out the flesh, then add appropriate amount of sugar and stir it evenly. After refrigerating in the refrigerator for about 2 hours, take it out and pour it into a container and heat it over medium heat. Cook until boiling and then turn to low heat. Stir constantly during the entire heating process. When the passion fruit juice becomes darker in color and thicker, put the jam into bottles while it is still hot, and store it in the refrigerator after it cools down. This method can also preserve passion fruit for a long time.

Kind tips

In order to taste the original fresh flavor of passion fruit, it is recommended that you buy it in moderation and keep it for as little time as possible to avoid affecting the taste. In addition, considering health factors, people should not eat too much passion fruit, but should eat it in moderation according to their physical condition. By the way, when we choose passion fruit, we should choose the one with no or almost no defects on the skin, the green color has faded, and it is about to ripen. This kind of passion fruit is easy to store and eat later.
