Reasons for yellowing leaves of Vanda orchid

Water yellow

The soil is lacking in oxygen because of long-term accumulation of water in the flowerpot. This condition will cause a small part of the roots to rot, and will also lead to poor water absorption and weakened ability to absorb fertilizer. The new leaves will be dark yellow and have no luster on the surface. The tips of new leaf tips will shrink, and the branches and stems will become small and appear yellow-green.

Governance

The soil should be loosened in time, the amount of watering should be reduced, and the use of fertilizers should be stopped. In serious cases, the soil and plants in the pot can be taken out, dried, and then put back.

Fat Yellow

Yellowing of leaves is caused by excessive fertilization, especially nitrogen fertilizer. In this case, the new leaves are large, thick and shiny, the surface of the leaves is uneven, and the old leaves gradually turn yellow and fall off.

Fertilizing should be stopped and the amount of watering should be increased appropriately to dilute the nutrients.

Insufficient fertilizer or when the plant is large and the pot is small, or when the roots in the pot are aging and too dense, the leaves of the flower plants will become thin and yellow.

Change the potting soil. Generally speaking, it is better to do it between the Rain Water season and the Beginning of Summer.
