What plants are suitable for the kitchen?

Pothos

The green ivy is simply a god-like existence, it can be found everywhere. Yes, it's here to absorb the fumes again today. We all know that green radish grows in semi-shaded environments and is especially suitable for house kitchens.

Because it can absorb oil and carbon monoxide, and is very easy to clean, it can be shiny immediately after wiping with a damp cloth.

Every time I cook, seeing the bright green makes me feel that life is full of vitality.

Maintenance: Place it in a ventilated place, such as a windowsill next to the sink, or hang it. Pothos prefers moisture and needs to be watered once every 2 to 3 days.

Silver Queen

There are beautiful patterns on the leaves of the Silver Queen, which makes it worthy of being called "Queen". It looks different from other plants. Moreover, it has a superb ability to purify the air, and it would be a shame not to put one in the kitchen.

Maintenance: Silver Queen likes moisture and tolerates partial shade. You can also choose hydroponics. Just remember to change the water once a week.

Chlorophytum

In addition to green ivy and silver queen, spider plant is also a good kitchen flower. It can filter out carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide and other substances, making the air fresher and cleaner. It is simply a "little fresh" among plants.

Maintenance: Chlorophytum likes a humid and diffused light environment. You can choose to place it in a ventilated and bright place, avoid direct sunlight, water it once every 2-3 days, and spray water on the leaves.

Calla Lily

Calla lily can be said to be a plant that can be used both in the living room and in the kitchen. It looks pure and elegant, and blooms pure white flowers. Placing it in the kitchen can really brighten your mood.

Maintenance: If Calla lily is grown in soil, water it once every 3-5 days. It can also be grown in water, change the water every 15-20 days, add nutrient solution to the water once a week, and place it in a ventilated and sunny place.

Prunus truncatula

The leaves of the hanging bamboo plum are purple and have strong vitality. They can easily grow into a waterfall in the kitchen, which is a beautiful sight.

Maintenance: Hanging plants like a humid environment. Water them once every 2-3 days to keep the soil moist. Apply nitrogen fertilizer once a month. If there is too much light, it will easily grow too tall. It is best to place it in a ventilated and diffused light place.

Air Plants

There are so many shelves in the kitchen, you can't use them all to store pots, pans, and utensils, otherwise life would be too boring. You might as well put a few air plants there to make your trivial life full of novelty.

Maintenance: Air plants are anti-human creatures. They only need air to survive, but remember to spray them with water every 2-3 days to keep them plump and shiny.

Small onion

Things like green onions are better planted in the kitchen than in the ground. Not only can you appreciate them, but you can also pick them and throw them into the pot. It looks beautiful and convenient.

Maintenance: Cut off the bottom of the chives with roots and bury them directly in the soil. Water them every 2-3 days and place them near the window. They will grow out soon.

Garlic sprouts

Garlic sprouts are similar to green onions. They can be grown anywhere and are an endless supply of food. It is in line with the concept of "low carbon and environmental protection".

Maintenance: Both soil and hydroponics are possible. Place it near the window and keep it moist. The seedlings will grow rapidly and can be put into the pot in one or two months.

vanilla

Vanilla is not only a good potted plant, but also a good ingredient. Throw two leaves into the dish before it comes out of the pot and it will instantly become fragrant. Find a few small buckets and hang them on the wall, fill them with herbs, and your life will smell sweet.

Maintenance: Pinch the tops of the herbs frequently to make them bloom more. Vanilla likes moisture, so spray it with water frequently to keep it fresh and tender.
