Can it be grown indoors?

Alumroot is native to America and has recently been promoted well in my country. Compared with many plants that have very strict requirements on the environment, alum root is relatively easy to grow. Of course it can be planted indoors, but you also have to pay attention to some issues.

Specific factors that should be paid attention to

Control of lighting:

This plant prefers a semi-shaded, cool environment, so you can just put it in a dark place. However, light is indispensable for the development of most plants. It can both provide heat and improve the plant's resistance. So it is not advisable to avoid the sun at all. It is okay to take it out and expose it to light appropriately during the day, but avoid vertical exposure, otherwise the leaves will become diseased or attacked by other diseases.

Choice of soil and pot:

This plant does not like to live in soil with too high nutrient content, ordinary growing soil will do. The choice of pot is very important. You should choose a container with good water permeability.

Application of fertilizer:

As we said above, plants are not suitable to be grown in soil with excess nutrients. Therefore, do not apply too much fertilizer. You can apply some nitrogen-containing fertilizer in moderation. However, if the plant growth slows down in winter, do not fertilize it.

To adjust the amount of watering:

From the choice of clay pot, we can see that it does not like a humid environment. Therefore, avoid watering too often and only water when you see the soil is completely dry. In summer, evaporation watering is vigorous and should be done two to three times a week. It is best not to overdose in winter. Once every two weeks is fine.

For temperature regulation:

They are quite cold-resistant, so there is no need for special control in this regard.
