1. Prepare the soil

Prepare suitable soil before planting. It likes loose, organic-rich, fertile soil with good water-retaining capacity. When preparing the soil, you can mix sand, compost, leaf mold, etc., and add an appropriate amount of bone meal and organic fertilizer as base fertilizer to increase the fertility so that it can grow more vigorously in the later stage.

2. Planting time

When planting, you must choose an appropriate time. It can be done between July and September each year, but it is more recommended to choose mid-to-late August. At this time, the survival rate of planting is higher and the growth rate of the seedlings will be faster.

3. Seed selection and soaking

When planting shallots, you should choose bulbs for seeds. You should choose onions that are large, well-shaped, firm and undamaged. In addition, the seeds need to be soaked before planting in the soil. You can use carbendazim to soak them for about 5-10 minutes. After soaking, take them out and plant them.

4. Planting into the soil

Pay attention to the depth when planting. Do not bury it too deep. The depth should be about two-thirds of the onion. After planting, water the plants to moisten the soil, and pay attention to heat preservation in the later stage. Seedlings will grow in about 7 to 15 days.
