The difference between duckweed and green chrysanthemum

The difference between duckweed and green chrysanthemum

the difference

Both duckweed and green chrysanthemum are aquatic plants that like light. However, duckweed does not like strong light. If it is exposed to strong light, it will die. However, green chrysanthemums can tolerate strong light and even like it. Dermatophaga will stop growing or grow slowly if the light is not clear. In this case, green chrysanthemums will drop their leaves. This is their most obvious difference.

Dermatophaga mostly grows in still water or very slowly flowing water and can be used as feed. It can be propagated by flowering or separation. Each leaf tip of the duckweed plant is pointed and arranged irregularly, and the overall green color is not as bright as green chrysanthemum. The overall shape is branched growth, which is much sparser than green chrysanthemum.

The overall color prefers soft water with a pH less than 7, which is called acidic water. It can be propagated by breaking branches, new cuttings or sprouting. Each leaf tip of the green chrysanthemum plant is rounded. The overall color is more sleek and bright than that of duckweed, and belongs to the fresh green color of new branches and leaves. The overall shape is clustered and relatively dense.

If you have fish at home, you might as well plant a few different aquatic plants in the fish tank and observe them, it will be very interesting. They can also help maintain water quality for your fish.
