What should I do if the money tree is frozen? Are you afraid of freezing if I put it indoors?

1. Keep warm

After the money tree is frostbitten, the first thing to do is to keep it warm. The plant grows best in an environment of 20-32℃. If the indoor temperature is higher than 10℃, you can place it indoors to keep it warm. If the room temperature does not meet the standard, you need to cover the upper part of the plant with a plastic bag, which can also keep it warm, but you need to open it regularly to let it ventilate.

2. Increase Lighting

If you want the money tree to survive the winter better, you must provide it with sufficient light. Although the plant is afraid of direct sunlight, the light in winter is relatively soft, and there is no problem with it receiving sunlight throughout the day, and the ambient temperature can be appropriately increased. In addition, good lighting conditions are also more conducive to photosynthesis of plants, producing better nutrients to help growth.

3. Pay attention to water temperature

One of the main reasons why money trees suffer from frostbite is that their roots are damaged by water. When watering in winter, you must pay attention to the water temperature. Do not use cold water directly. Usually you have to leave it for a while and wait for the water temperature to be close to room temperature before using it. You can also put it in a sunny place to dry in the sun, which can also increase the temperature and accelerate the volatilization of harmful gases.

4. Appropriate fertilization

Money tree usually does not need to be fertilized in winter, but proper fertilization before winter can increase the plant's resistance to cold and help the plant survive the winter. Usually, it is sufficient to apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizers once before winter, and stop applying fertilizers when the temperature drops below 15℃. Otherwise, fertilizer accumulation will cause fertilizer damage, damage the roots of the plants, and affect the absorption of water and nutrients.
