How to repot the fragrant wood

Repotting time

Fragrant wood is an evergreen plant. If it is operated properly, there is no requirement for repotting. However, after repotting, the plant needs to be placed in a cool place for ventilation for about 7 days. The best time to repot is when the fragrant wood enters the sprouting period after dormancy. During this time, the plant's demand for nutrients and water is not very large, so you can avoid damaging the roots due to repotting. More importantly, awakening from dormancy and entering the budding period is more conducive to plant wound healing and avoids infection.

Repotting method

First of all, it is better to use a purple clay pot, because it has strong permeability. When planting fragrant wood potted plants or bonsai, the diameter of the flowerpot should be about 15 cm, which will not waste space and is conducive to the development of the plant's root system. When repotting, be sure to use a new pot and soak it for 24 hours before repotting. After the change, compact the soil and water the plants to keep the soil moist.

Repotting issues

Many friends have experienced leaf shedding of the fragrant wood after repotting. This is a normal phenomenon and flower lovers should not worry too much. It may be because the original soil was loose when repotting, and it was not pressed well by hand, causing the soil to become loose. Or it may be because the plant was not watered in time after repotting and the soil was not watered thoroughly. It may also be due to excessive ventilation or strong wind causing moisture loss. If you pay attention to these points, it shouldn't be easy to repot the fragrant wood.
