How to grow spider plants so that they grow strong

How to grow spider plants so that they grow strong

1. Soil

It grows best in loose, nutrient-rich soil, preferably acidic soil. The potting soil can also be mixed with sandy loam, humus soil, etc. and a small amount of base fertilizer.

2. Lighting

Chlorophytum likes a cool environment. Do not expose it to direct sunlight. Strong light will cause the leaves of Chlorophytum to dry out and wither. In early autumn, the temperature is cool and the spider plants grow fast at this time, so you can slowly increase the light exposure time. Increasing the amount of light will enhance the photosynthesis of the spider plant, and the plant and leaves will grow thicker and wider.

It likes a humid environment and the soil in the pot should be kept moist during its growth period. In spring and autumn, watering once a day is sufficient. In summer, because the temperature is high, you need to water it once in the morning and once in the evening. In winter, it is sufficient to water the plants once every 5 or 6 days, and the amount of watering can be reduced appropriately.

3. Fertilization

The main fertilizer applied is potassium fertilizer, which helps the growth of roots and flowers. When the roots grow strong and nutrients are fully absorbed, the leaves will also become broad and thick.

IV. Precautions

If you find that the spider plant has leaf blight or the leaves are too dense, you should prune it in time to avoid destroying the ornamental effect of the spider plant. When spider plants are attacked by diseases and pests, they should be sprayed with pesticides in time for preventive control.
