Guanyin Lotus

The Alocasia odora is so hardy that it can grow very fast even in summer, and it basically needs to be kept free-range. I remember Huahua bought an Alocasia odora in the spring of 2015. It started to grow small sprouts after three months and four weeks. I changed it to a bigger pot in the fall, and it burst out of the pot in the spring of the following year. It is simply a breeding machine.

The Alocasia odora likes an environment with sufficient light. It should be properly shaded in summer and watered only when the soil is dry. It should be watered 3-4 times a month in spring and autumn, and 2-3 times a month in summer.

If the flowerpot is big enough, the small Alocasia odora will grow roots when it comes into contact with the soil and grow into a new plant.

If you don’t want to affect the shape of the mother plant, you can cut the small Alocasia odora with scissors, place them in a well-lit and ventilated place to dry for half a day, and then transplant them into other pots!

After the roots grow, be sure to ensure sufficient light, otherwise it will grow too tall.

Sunflower

We all recognize that sunflowers are flowers that never die. There may be one this year, dozens next year, or even hundreds of them. If you want a pot full of flowers, choose this one!

The method to make sunflowers bloom out of the pot is generally self-seeding. That is, after your sunflowers bloom this year, let them produce seeds and scatter them into the potting soil. You don't need to take care of them in the second year, and they will sprout. Of course, the prerequisite is that they must be placed outside in the winter to undergo the cold vernalization process.

There are two other methods of artificial potting, which can be done alone or in combination, that is, topping + cuttings.

Topping means cutting off the branches that are higher than the sunflower when it grows to more than 10 cm, which will promote the germination of side buds. Let a sunflower grow very big.

In addition, the sunflower branches we cut can be directly planted into the soil. They will survive if they are watered thoroughly. Just plant the branches in a circle and it will be easy for the flowers to fill the pot!

Chlorophytum

Anyone who has raised spider plants knows that once they reproduce, they can become an overwhelming proliferation. Small spider plants can survive if you pick them and stick them in the soil!

If the spider plant is almost grown into a waterfall, you can pick the small spider plants on the creeping stems for cuttings.

Use sharp scissors to cut off the small spider plants, or pick them off gently with your hands.

Replant the small spider plant in a new pot, water it thoroughly and make the soil looser.

Place the spider plant in a well-lit and ventilated place and it will take root after 1-2 weeks.

Aloe Vera

When the aloe vera grows up, it will be easy to grow many small aloe vera where the roots and stems are connected, and as they grow, it will become a large pot.

If the pot at your home is too small and there are too many small aloe plants, you can consider dividing the pots, removing the entire aloe family from the pots and soil, and separating the small aloe plants from the mother plant.

Replant the separated small aloe vera into the pot, not too densely. Note that it is best for the small aloe vera to have several roots so that they are easier to survive.

Aloe vera likes light, but the newly planted aloe vera should be repotted in an environment with diffused light and good ventilation, and do not water it too much.

Babies, do you know any other plants that are easy to grow?

Tell Huahua in the message~

<<:  Kalanchoe, pennywort, and calla lily... they are so easy to grow, yet you killed them all. What's going on?

>>:  Are there many mosquitoes when growing flowers? These little things can kill them all, every household has them!
