Mesembryanthemum

Mesembryanthemum is a perennial evergreen herb belonging to the Aizoaceae family and the genus Mesembryanthemum.

The flowers of Mesembryanthemum are similar to chrysanthemums, with dense petals, and grow alone at the end of branches. The colors of the flowers include white, pink, red, yellow, purple, etc. Its leaves are like pine leaves, which are fleshy and triangular in shape. It is called Mesembryanthemum because of these shapes.

The stem of Mesembryanthemum: Most of the branches grow upward, its stem grows in a creeping manner, is slender and reddish-brown.

Sunflower

Sunflower belongs to the Portulacaceae family. It is an annual herbaceous plant belonging to the genus Portulaca.

Flowers of sunflowers: The flowers grow alone or in clusters at the ends of branches. They have double or single petals, and are mostly purple, white, snow-blue, light yellow, dark yellow, etc. The flowers bloom in the sun and close on rainy days, so they are called sunflowers.

The leaves of sunflower are alternate, and the leaves are cylindrical, linear or subulate, and are mostly densely distributed at the ends of branches. It will be more dispersed as you go down.

The stems of sunflowers are procumbent or ascending, purple-red in color, with many branches, densely covered with hairs on the nodes, and growing relatively densely.
