Maintenance tips for succulent plants Otome Yume

illumination

The succulent plant Otome Yume needs sufficient light so that the warts on the plant will be more obvious, the leaves will be thicker, and the color will remain bright, which will improve the overall ornamental value of the plant. Proper sunshade is required in summer, and full sun is allowed in other seasons

Moisture

Water less frequently and follow the principle of watering thoroughly when the soil is dry. Water a second time after the soil surface is completely dry to avoid waterlogging in the pot soil and causing root rot of the plant.

When it is too cold in winter, you can give a little water to the roots of the plant, but avoid spraying the leaves or leaf centers. If the water stays in the leaf center for too long, it will easily cause rot, and the white powder on the leaves will also fall off, affecting the appearance. After the temperature gradually returns to normal, you can slowly resume normal water supply.

Soil and Repotting

It is suitable to use loose, fertile sandy soil mixed with coal slag with good air permeability and drainage for cultivation.

Because Maiden Yume is a medium to large plant, the pot needs to be changed every 1-2 years according to changes in its growth status. It is recommended to choose a container with a pot diameter 1-2 inches larger than the plant diameter to promote plant growth.

Fertilization

Long-release fertilizer can be applied once every quarter. There is no need to apply fertilizer at normal times, and avoid using raw fertilizer or concentrated fertilizer.
