How to raise the blue star beauty

Growth habit

The succulent plant Blue Star Beauty is a succulent plant of the Crassulaceae family. It is a perennial hairless succulent herb. Native to Mexico. Therefore, it prefers a warm, dry and sunny growing environment, is drought-resistant, and its growing season is in spring and autumn.

Maintenance Tips

illumination

Generally, it can be exposed to full sunlight, but shading and ventilation should be done well in summer.

Watering

Follow the principle of "water thoroughly when dry" to avoid water accumulation in the pot soil. In summer, you can give a small amount of water to the edge of the pot to keep the roots of the plant moist and prevent them from drying out and dying. In the low temperatures of winter, you can gradually reduce the amount of water, or even stop watering, just keep the soil in the pot dry, and resume watering after the temperature rises.

soil

Choose loose, fertile soil with good air permeability and drainage. It is suitable to use peat mixed with perlite and coal slag for cultivation. Finally, you can spread clean particles on the surface to isolate the soil surface and the plants and enhance air permeability.

Reproduction method

There are four main ways to propagate the Green Star Beauty: sowing, beheading, division and leaf cuttings. It is worth noting that the Green Star Beauty is prone to grow side branches after being beheaded. If it is not beheaded, as the plant grows, the old stem of the plant will become very long, and then branches will begin to appear. In order to maintain its beauty, you can cut the top under suitable growth conditions to sprout side buds, so that the plants will look better when they grow in groups.
