How to raise golden moonflower

Farming methods

Repotting

Golden Moon is a medium to large plant. It can be repotted every few years depending on its growth. The pot diameter can be 1 to 2 inches larger than the plant diameter, which can promote plant growth. The medium must be dry before watering, and slow-release fertilizer can be applied.

Adequate lighting

The golden moonflower needs sufficient sunlight to make its leaves colorful, its shape firmer and more beautiful, and its leaves thicker. If there is too little sunlight, the leaves will be light green, loosely arranged, elongated and thin, and the branches will be very tender.

Reproduction method

The golden flower moon is generally propagated by beheading. Beheading can be done all year round. When the plant is too tall or growing too vigorously, pick off the top of the plant, dry the wound, and place it in slightly moist soil to wait for rooting.

Suitable temperature

Although the golden moonflower is kept in a sunroom, once the temperature is higher than 35 degrees, it should be moved to bright scattered light and water should be slowly cut off. As the temperature drops in winter, move the plant indoors in time for maintenance. As long as the temperature is above 5℃, it can safely overwinter.

Watering method

When the temperature drops in mid-September, you can slowly resume watering. The golden month plant that has adapted to the sunroom can grow normally in summer, and dormancy is not too obvious. However, do not give it too much water in summer, otherwise it will die.

Although winter is cold, it does not mean that you should not water the plant for the whole winter. You can give the plant a little water away from the roots at an appropriate time, but do not spray or water too much.

Breeding precautions

soil

The soil is a mixture of peat and granular coal slag, and the surface is covered with large-grained stones. The soil is mainly breathable. There are many kinds of soil for succulents. You can directly buy special soil for succulents. After growing them for a period of time, you will know what kind of soil environment your succulents like!

Sunshade

The Golden Moon is a very easy-to-grow variety. It can be exposed to full sunlight in all seasons except summer when proper shading is required. In summer, move the flower pot to a cool and ventilated place at noon, and avoid direct sunlight, otherwise the leaves will fall off soon.
