How to breed Qingshengjin

How to breed Qingshengjin

1. Cutting propagation of Qingshengjin

1. Time for cutting

The best time to breed Qingsheng Jin is during the growing season of each year, that is, spring and autumn, because the temperature in these two seasons is just suitable for the breeding of Qingsheng Jin.

2. Selection of leaf cuttings

When cutting leaves, you need to choose branches and leaves that are free of pests and diseases and are relatively strong. After cutting the branches and leaves, you need to let them dry for a while before waiting for the next step.

3. Soil

Choose sandy soil or vermiculite as the soil has better air permeability and drainage.

4. Cutting operation

Insert the dried branches and leaves into the prepared soil, then place them in a cool place, maintaining a certain degree of moisture, and they will soon take root. Generally, it takes a long time for plants grown from leaf cuttings to form complete plants, so a certain amount of patience is required.

2. Maintenance after cutting

1. Soil

After the leaf cuttings have slowly taken root, they can actually be transplanted into another pot. At this time, the soil needs to be loose, and a little more fertile soil is better.

2. Watering

In winter, if the growth temperature of Qingsheng Jin is above twelve degrees Celsius, you can water it at this time, so that Qingsheng Jin will continue to grow. If the temperature does not reach this level in winter, there is no need to water it anymore. Keep the soil dry so that Qingshengjin can withstand a certain low temperature. Spring and autumn are the growing periods of Qingsheng Jin. At this time, you must water it sufficiently and keep the soil moist at all times. If the air is too dry, you can sprinkle some water appropriately, which is conducive to the growth of Qingsheng Jin.

3. Fertilization

Generally, Qingshengjin needs to be fertilized once every half a month. A thin layer of fertilizer is needed, but be careful to prevent the fertilizer from getting on the leaves.

4. Lighting

Qingsheng Jin is a plant that likes sunlight, but it will go dormant when it is hot in summer, so be sure not to expose it to strong light. The light in the other three seasons is not very strong, so the plant can be exposed to the sun all the time.
