How to grow mountain roses

Matrix

If it is raised indoors, the amount of non-granular part should be reduced, one-sixth of rice husk and peat will be enough, and the rest can be made of honeycomb coal slag, orchid stone, pumice, expanded clay, perlite, pebbles, etc., and then paved with 2 mm diameter medical stone and pebbles (choose according to personal preference).

Water supply

Mountain roses prefer a cool, dry environment, are drought-resistant and afraid of waterlogging. Therefore, it is necessary to maintain a certain air humidity and water the plant once every 4 weeks.

You can choose to water the plant by immersing the pot, with the water level controlled at two-thirds of the height of the pot. This will only take a few seconds. This will keep the surface of the substrate dry all year round and prevent the core from rotting.

ventilation

In summer, mountain roses need to be in a ventilated environment, such as placing them in a ventilated window or in an air-conditioned room.

illumination

Mountain roses are suitable for outdoor cultivation. If grown indoors, they can be placed in a south-facing window.

Precautions for mountain rose cultivation

Controlling the particle size of the matrix

The particles at the bottom of the pot can be larger, but the size of the particles in the middle should be controlled within 3 mm, because the roots of mountain roses are relatively fine, and if the particles are too large, it will be detrimental to the growth of the roots.

Avoid water accumulation in the leaf core

If the indoor ventilation is poor, do not allow water to accumulate in the center of the leaves, otherwise they will easily rot.

If water accidentally accumulates in the center of the leaves, you can use a cotton swab to absorb the water and then place it in a ventilated place.
