Chinese cabbage is a leafy vegetable. As we all know, all leafy vegetables such as leeks, cabbage, spinach, etc., because of their short plants, require soil that retains fertilizer and water and a continuous supply of nitrogen fertilizer. What is nitrogen fertilizer?Nitrogen fertilizers include urea, ammonium bicarbonate, calcium ammonium nitrate, ammonium sulfate, ammonium chloride, etc. Of course, you can also apply nitrogen-containing compound fertilizers, such as diammonium phosphate and nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium compound fertilizers. As for the use of nitrogen fertilizers for Chinese cabbage, urea, ammonium bicarbonate, and nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium compound fertilizers are more common. If you do not use enough nitrogen fertilizer on cabbage, problems such as thin plants, yellowing and loss of green color, dry leaves, and decreased yield will occur. Therefore, in the nutritional management of Chinese cabbage, it is necessary to pay attention to the use of nitrogen fertilizer, especially in the three stages of seedling stage, rosette stage and beginning of heading stage. It is best to apply three times, but at least two times, namely rosette fertilizer and key fertilizer before heading, are required. I don't know how much urea you apply to your cabbage. It depends on the soil conditions, the amount of base fertilizer used, etc. In addition to applying enough base fertilizer, I apply urea once during the seedling stage, which is called seedling-raising fertilizer. I apply 10-20 jin per mu, between plants. During the rosette stage of Chinese cabbage, the growth of the plant increases. In order to promote the root system and form more leaves, I will apply fertilizer again. This time I will use nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer, 30 kilograms per mu, on one side of the ridge or between plants. The third top dressing is when the cabbage is just about to curl. During this period, the cabbage grows the most and requires the most fertilizer and water. Lack of water and fertilizer will affect the curling of the heart and may also easily cause dry heartburn. During this period, I apply urea, 30-40 pounds per mu. It can be used by digging trenches or flushing with water. The gaps between plants become smaller, making it difficult to dig holes and apply fertilizer. Nowadays, the land is basically full of nitrogen fertilizer. Excessive application of nitrogen fertilizer, such as urea, to cabbage will cause the leaves to be dark green, the leaves to be large, the petioles to be long, the stems to be tall, and the cabbage to be susceptible to disease. Therefore, when applying nitrogen fertilizer to Chinese cabbage, topdressing should be mainly potassium fertilizer, followed by nitrogen fertilizer, and less phosphorus fertilizer. Topdressing nitrogen fertilizer such as urea should be applied lightly during the seedling stage. During the rosette stage and heading stage, heavy fertilizer should be applied 3-4 times, but at least twice. When the soil fertility is insufficient and the base fertilizer is insufficient, the focus should be on rosette fertilizer and head fertilizer, and triple compound fertilizer is preferred . |
