The advantages and disadvantages of beauty rose

The advantages and disadvantages of beauty rose

Beauty rose is a very common climbing rose. It also has a variety with red and white spots, but the most common ones are pink with a little purple hue.

This plant can grow up to one hundred centimeters in height, and the flower diameter is ten centimeters. It is a large-flowered variety with double petals. The buds are reddish-purple, the back of the petals is lighter in color, and they open in a spiral shape.

Advantages of Beauty Rose

The advantages of beauty roses are that they have a very strong fragrance, the fragrance of old roses, large flowers and a long flowering period, are drought-resistant and cold-resistant, the plants are small and easy to prune, and they do not have high requirements for soil.

Disadvantages of Beauty Rose

The disadvantages of beauty rose are poor re-flowering ability. When the plant grows very large, it will occasionally re-flower in summer and autumn. It has poor vine properties and is sensitive to the amount and frequency of watering, which are difficult to control. It has poor ability to resist attacks by pests and diseases, and its roots are prone to rot.

Beauty care tips

1. Lighting

When caring for the beauty rose, it needs sufficient light, at least six hours of direct sunlight a day. A good lighting environment is a necessary factor for its growth, so that the flowers can bloom more beautifully.

2. Soil

Whether planted in the ground or in pots, the soil for growing beauty roses must be loose and breathable. If the soil quality is poor, you can add some base fertilizer to improve it. If it is potted, a larger flowerpot is needed.

3. Water and fertilizer

Beauty roses grow very fast and have a relatively high demand for water and fertilizer. If planted in the ground, you can add some slow-release fertilizer in spring and autumn. Potted plants need to use a combination of slow-release fertilizer and water-soluble fertilizer. Fertilizer should be applied in small amounts and multiple times to avoid fertilizer damage, and watering should not be too frequent.
