Three taboos for growing flowers at home

Three taboos for growing flowers at home

1. Avoid growing too many flowers with strong fragrance and pungent smell

Flowers such as orchids, roses, roses, lilies, tuberose, etc. can all emit rich fragrance. A pot of fragrant flowers in the room will fill the air with fragrance, but if there are too many fragrant flowers indoors and the fragrance is too strong, it will cause excitement in people's nerves, especially if people smell it for a long time in the bedroom, it will cause insomnia. The gases emitted by Christmas flowers and evergreens are harmful to humans; the particles emitted by tulips and hydrangeas can cause skin allergies and itching if contact is prolonged.

2. Avoid placing too many

At night, most flowers will release carbon dioxide and absorb oxygen to compete with humans. However, most rooms are closed at night, and the air is not well circulated with the outside world. If there are too many flowers indoors, the oxygen concentration in the room will be reduced at night, affecting the quality of sleep at night, such as chest tightness, frequent nightmares, etc.

3. Avoid placing poisonous flowers indoors

For example, oleander, its stems, leaves and even flowers are poisonous in spring, summer and autumn. The milky white juice it secretes contains oleandrin, which can cause poisoning if ingested accidentally. The bulbs of daffodils contain latin toxins, which can cause vomiting if ingested by children. The juice of the leaves and flowers causes redness and swelling of the skin, and can cause eye damage if the juice accidentally gets into the eyes. Excessive contact with mimosa can easily cause sparse eyebrows, yellowing hair, and even hair loss in severe cases.
