How to disinfect cutting medium

High temperature sterilization of cutting medium

When disinfecting the soil for cuttings, high temperature disinfection can be used. High temperature disinfection means heating the substrate, frying it in an iron pan, or exposing it to the sun, all of which can achieve disinfection.

Cutting medium disinfection method

When disinfecting some cutting media, drugs are also used for disinfection.

The commonly used disinfectant is carbendazim, which can play a very good role in flower cultivation. When disinfecting, you can directly mix the carbendazim evenly into the soil, and then cover it with plastic film. The film can be removed after a week. If you are doing cuttings, you can directly mix a solution called carbendazim into it and use it to disinfect the seedbed for cuttings.

Potassium permanganate is also very suitable for disinfection. Before plant cuttings, you can spray the soil with potassium permanganate solution or ferrous sulfate solution for disinfection.

The disinfection of Benomyl is generally carried out by making it into a 1000-fold solution and spraying it on the substrate for disinfection.
