1. Introduction

Mimosa is a perennial herb or subshrub of the Leguminosae family. It is also known as sensitive grass, shy grass, ugly grass, laughing grass, husband and wife grass, shy grass, etc. Because its leaves are sensitive to light and heat, the leaflets close when stimulated by external factors, and the petioles droop, it is called "Mimosa". It often grows in wilderness, wasteland, bushes and other places. It is native to the tropical regions of America and is now widely distributed in tropical regions of the world. In my country, it is mainly distributed in Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan and other places.

2. Will it bloom?

Mimosa will bloom, and the flowering period is generally in midsummer, and the flowering period can last from March to around October. The flowers are capitula, shaped like pompoms, and come in two colors: pink and white. The corolla is bell-shaped, the style is filamentous, and the filaments form small ball-like flowers. After flowering, pods will grow, which are oblate in shape.

3. When does it bloom?

It can bloom in spring, summer and autumn, that is, mimosa will bloom from March to October. Generally speaking, its flowering period can last about 8 months. It grows fast and has strong adaptability. If properly maintained, it can bloom 2-3 months after sowing. Therefore, if you want the plant to bloom quickly, you can let it get more sunlight during daily maintenance. Keep the soil moist, especially during its growing season, water it frequently but do not allow water to accumulate, so that it can grow vigorously and bloom successfully.
