When does orchid bloom? When does orchid bloom?

1. When does it bloom?

Different varieties of orchids bloom throughout the year. For example, the flowering period of spring orchid is from January to March; the flowering period of spring sword and nine-headed orchid is from March to April; the flowering period of cymbidium orchid is from March to May; the flowering period of gladiolus is from September to October; the flowering period of black orchid is from November to December; the flowering period of winter orchid and lotus orchid is from December to January. Therefore, the flowering time of orchids will vary depending on the variety, region, climate and other factors.

2. How to raise

1. Soil: Orchids prefer slightly acidic soil with good permeability, looseness, softness and good drainage.

2. Maintenance environment: Orchids prefer a shady and ventilated growing environment. They can be placed outdoors in spring, summer and autumn, and indoors in winter. However, it should be noted that when the sunlight is strong in summer, it is necessary to block the strong light.

3. Temperature: The suitable temperature for orchid growth is around 18-30 degrees. If the temperature is below 5 degrees or above 35, the growth of the plant will become slow.

4. Fertilization: Fertilization should be appropriate. You can neither not apply fertilizer nor over-fertilize. Fertilization is required at the vernal equinox, autumnal equinox and about 20 days after the flowers have faded. It is best to apply fertilizer in the evening, and water the plant once in the early morning of the second day after fertilization. The frequency of fertilization should be maintained at once every 2-3 weeks.

5. Water: Just keep it 80% moist to meet its water needs. In thunderstorms, showers or continuous rain, take rain protection measures. In addition, do not choose to water the plants at noon.
