Is freesia poisonous?

1. Is it toxic?

It is non-toxic and has high ornamental value. You don't have to worry about any harm to the human body when you grow it at home. Not only is it non-toxic, it can also serve as a decoration and beautification plant when kept at home. When it blooms, not only are the flowers beautiful, but the flowering period is also very long. It can be grown in potted plants or as flower arrangements.

2. Domestication Methods

1. Soil: When raising it at home, you must choose soil suitable for its growth. It likes loose and well-drained humus soil. Do not use soil that is too sticky and not ventilated.

2. Temperature: It does not have good cold resistance, so the breeding temperature must not be too low. If conditions permit, the temperature can be kept at 15-20℃. The night temperature should also be properly controlled, preferably around 10-15℃. During the winter, appropriate warming measures should be taken and the temperature should be controlled at 3-5℃.

3. Lighting: When freesia seedlings are in the stage of being young, they need appropriate shade. When the flower buds are differentiating, they need to be exposed to sunlight appropriately, but they should not be exposed to direct sunlight. When the sun is strong in midsummer and early autumn, use a shade net to block 70% of the light.
