The newly bought flowers have grown into this horrible state. The difference is so big that I want to throw them away every minute!

The newly bought flowers have grown into this horrible state. The difference is so big that I want to throw them away every minute!

Sellers' Show vs Buyers' Show

1. Gagaku Dance

"I bought the Dance of ...

Huahua said: The Dancing with Grace must be ventilated more, pay attention to the key point, ventilate more, otherwise the soil in the pot will be damp and stuffy, with poor air permeability, the roots will rot quickly, and it is normal for leaves and flowers to fall off!

2. Purple Pearl

"I originally thought that the purple pearl would look as beautiful as a lotus, but it turned out to be this shape. Is it too late to change it to a lotus now?"

Huahua said: Purple pearls are not resistant to high temperatures and sunlight, and will definitely hibernate in summer. At this time, you must ventilate and shade, water in moderation, and fertilize with caution!

3. Gyokuro

"They say that Jade Dew is crystal clear, but why is my Jade Dew dry, as if it has been thirsty for a month?"

Huahua said: In summer, just spray some water on the jade dew every once in a while, provide shade and ventilation, and it will be fine after the dormant period!

4. Aloe Vera

"The seller's aloe vera looks like it has been injected with chicken blood, but mine is shriveled and drooping. How can I make a facial mask with it?"

Huahua said: Aloe vera grows most vigorously in summer, so you need to water it more often, otherwise it will wilt in minutes. Apply liquid nitrogen fertilizer once every two weeks!

5. Fortune Tree

"My family may not have good fortune. I've only had the fortune tree for a month and all its leaves have fallen off. I'm so heartbroken that I can't breathe."

Huahua said: The roots of the money tree are prone to rot in summer. When watering, wait until the soil in the pot is dry before watering. It is better to be dry than wet, otherwise the roots will rot and it will be troublesome.

6. Asparagus fern

"I thought the asparagus fern would be as elegant as the cloud pine, but I ended up growing it to look like a roadside weed."

Huahua said: In summer, asparagus fern must be placed in a place with diffused light, spray water on the leaves and the surrounding area every day to keep them moist, open windows for ventilation, prune dense branches appropriately, and reduce watering after pruning!

How do newly bought flowers get through the seedling acclimatization period?

Seeing how everyone has grown their flowers into this state, Huahua has to share with everyone a very crucial but often overlooked experience in growing flowers: how to get through the seedling growth period!

1. Soak the bare-root plants in the pot first

If the newly bought flowers do not come with soil, be sure to soak the roots in clean water for 3 to 4 hours to allow the roots to absorb enough water. Gently wash off the mud wrapped around the roots, being careful not to damage the roots.

If you buy flowers with soil, check the soil first. If the soil is moist, do not water it immediately. If the soil is dry, water it thoroughly at once.

2. Transplanting

After the seedlings adapt to the new environment, transplant them into pots. When transplanting, take out the plant together with the soil, avoid touching the root system, and then place it in the prepared soil. The soil must be disinfected in advance to avoid infection by pests and diseases.

3. Don’t fertilize

Do not apply fertilizer within half a month of the seedling growth period. The root system is very weak at this time and improper fertilization can easily burn the seedlings.

4. Avoid direct sunlight

During the seedling growth period, place the flower pot in a ventilated and diffused light place for maintenance. Do not change its position frequently and avoid direct sunlight. After the plant's growth stabilizes, it can be maintained normally.
