Flowering periodThe flowering period of canna is concentrated in summer and autumn, from June to October in the north, and it can bloom all year round in the south. Its flowers come in a variety of colors, the most common ones are bright yellow, vivid red, orange, white, and large flowers with many spots. In addition, canna also comes in pink, purple and other varieties. Extend flowering periodIn November every year, remove the stems and leaves of canna on the ground quickly and dig out the rhizomes. After drying in a cool and ventilated place for 2-3 days, place it in semi-dry sand at about 5°C. Wait until March next year when the temperature rises before planting. This can effectively extend the flowering period and keep the canna in bloom. Additionally, cannas should be planted in a sunny environment. Before flowering, apply phosphorus fertilizer every ten days. After the flowers wither, the flower spikes should be cut off in time and additional phosphorus fertilizer should be applied. Canna is generally used as a garden flower, and grows much better when planted in the ground than in pots. Canna pictures |
