How to propagate cinnabar root

How to propagate cinnabar root

1. Seeding method

1. Seed selection: Select seeds carefully before sowing. Try to use seeds that were collected that year, are full, and have not been damaged by pests and diseases. If the seeds are not chosen properly, the germination rate may be directly affected.

2. Disinfection: Prepare a suitable substrate and then use high temperature disinfection to kill bacteria and germs in the soil. You can put it in the sun to dry, or stir-fry it in a hot pan.

3. Germination: Put the selected seeds in warm water for 12-24 hours. Usually, the seeds after germination will germinate faster than normal seeds.

4. Sowing: Because its seeds are very small, use a toothpick dipped in water to stick the seeds onto the substrate. Then cover it with a layer of substrate about 1 cm thick and use the pot immersion method to replenish water.

2. Cutting method

1. Substrate: Before cutting, you must also prepare a sterilized substrate. It is best to rinse it several times with clean water before use.

2. Branch selection: You can choose annual tender branches in spring or autumn. The length can be controlled within 5-15cm, and each branch must have at least 3 leaf nodes. Use scissors to cut the bottom of the branch diagonally, and make sure the cut is smooth.

3. Cutting: The last step is to insert the selected branches into the soil, provide it with a growing environment of 20-30℃, and wait for the branches to take root.
