Four plants that are super effective in purifying the air

Chlorophytum

Chlorophytum, also known as hook orchid, hanging orchid, orchid grass ginseng, and folded crane orchid, belongs to the Liliaceae family. It is native to South Africa and is known as the "purifier" in the living room.

The main function of spider plant is to eliminate formaldehyde pollution in the house, and it has a strong ability to absorb pollution.

Chlorophytum likes a warm and humid semi-shady environment. It is not cold-resistant and is afraid of strong sunlight. The suitable temperature is between 15-20℃, and should be higher than 5℃ in winter. The soil requirements are not very strict, but it must be well-drained. Choose neutral culture soil as potting soil and plant it in small or medium-sized hanging pots.

Placing a pot of spider plant in the room can absorb harmful gases such as carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, etc. in the room within 24 hours and act as an air filter.

Tiger tail orchid

Sansevieria has a high ornamental value and is suitable for arranging halls and meeting venues as potted plants.

Tiger tail orchid has a strong ability to absorb formaldehyde.

Tiger tail orchid likes light and can withstand direct sunlight. It should be placed in a well-ventilated sunny place, but it can also tolerate shade, but the leaves will become dark if it is shaded for a long time. The suitable temperature is 18-27℃, and it will stop growing if the temperature is lower than 13℃. The temperature in winter cannot be lower than 10℃ for a long time, otherwise the base of the plant will rot and cause the death of the whole plant.

Tiger tail orchid is a natural scavenger that can remove harmful substances from the air. Tiger tail orchid can absorb more than 80% of various harmful gases in the room, and is especially effective in dealing with formaldehyde.

Monstera

Monstera, also known as Monstera, Electric Wire Orchid, and Monstera, is a perennial evergreen vine belonging to the Araceae family and is native to South America. Monstera is suitable for beautifying the environment in larger living rooms, but is not suitable for bedrooms.

Monstera prefers a warm and humid environment, semi-shade, and avoids direct sunlight. It likes fertile, humus-rich sandy loam. The suitable growth temperature is between 20℃-25℃, and the wintering temperature should be greater than 8℃. Normally, the soil should be moist rather than dry. When the air is dry, you can spray water on the leaves and the ground. When the plant grows up, it needs to be given a support or something to climb on.

Golden Amber

The golden barrel cactus, also known as the ivory ball, belongs to the Cactaceae family and is native to central Mexico.

The golden barrel cactus likes an environment with sufficient light and high temperature. It cannot tolerate direct sunlight in summer and is not cold-resistant. Requires sandy soil containing lime. The overwintering temperature should be above 15℃, and the sphere should be sprayed with water mist regularly. After decades of care, it can grow into a huge bulb, which is very spectacular. It can still grow well at high temperatures of 40 to 50 degrees Celsius if there is no direct sunlight.

Since cactus plants can absorb harmful gases produced by decoration, such as formaldehyde and ether, they are most suitable for indoor planting. It can release oxygen 24 hours a day and absorb computer radiation.
