The Beauty of Doom

Faye Wong's song "Blooming to the Fullest" brought the white, soft and slightly mysterious flower of the fullest to people's attention. The camellia flowers always bloom in the spring when other flowers have withered, so by the time the camellia flowers are all bloomed, the entire flower season will be over. In Su Shi's poem, "The camellia does not compete for spring, and blooms last in loneliness." Wang Qi wrote a poem, "Once the plum powder fades, new red is applied to the crabapple. When the camellia flowers are over, silky hawthorns emerge from the raspberry wall." Every word and sentence in the poem is the best interpretation of the beauty of doomsday.

The Legend of Tumi

Duke Fan Zhen of Shu lived in Xuxia. In front of his house there was a huge camellia flower stand that could accommodate dozens of people sitting around a table and gathering together. Every spring, when the flowers were in full bloom, he would host banquets under the flower stand. They agreed on the most unique drinking order in the world - whoever's glass the petals fall into should drink up the wine in the glass; when the breeze blows, the fallen petals sprinkle like snow all over the glass, the table, and the clothes of the people sitting at the table... Fan Zhen, the owner of the "Feiying Club", is a close friend of Sima Guang. The protagonists in the political turmoil surrounding the issue of reform and whether to reform the law are all righteous and awe-inspiring, but outside of politics, they are so elegant and romantic.

This little story illustrates that growing flowers is not about their beautiful meaning. Ancient people were so particular about it that they would not care that the camellia is a sad flower.

Tumei and Buddha

I don’t think you will believe it, but the loneliness of the camellia is the most lasting and unique among all flowers. Camellia is the last flower to bloom in the flower season. After the camellia blooms, there is no more fragrance in the world, as if one had caused all this with one's own hands. So some people say that the wings of flowers will only learn to fly when they die, and the soil without love will only sprout and bloom when it dies.
