Your 60 pots of succulents have become empty pots, while others’ have grown into a small hill!

Your 60 pots of succulents have become empty pots, while others’ have grown into a small hill!

You both grow succulents, but others just look at the succulents while you collect the pots. What’s the difference? Below, Huahua will introduce to you how to make your succulents bloom quickly. Take advantage of the cool autumn weather and grow them quickly~

1 Provide sufficient light

Flower lovers who can grow succulents outdoors should try to do so. If the conditions are not right, place the succulents near the windowsill. The longer they can get sunlight, the better.

You can look at those succulent plants that are growing well. They are all exposed to sufficient sunlight, otherwise they will grow too tall in minutes.

The sunlight is very strong in the summer, so we need to provide shade to prevent the succulents from sunburn. Now that autumn is here, you can put them directly in the sun.

2. Master the watering rules

Succulents are very drought-resistant. The more you water them, the faster they die. If you want them to grow well, you must master the watering rules. If you are a novice to succulents, Huahua recommends that you only water them once every ten to twenty days.

Other flower lovers can judge when the potting soil needs to be watered based on their own maintenance conditions.

3. Effective fertilization

Succulents do not require much fertilizer. If you want them to grow quickly, you can apply some fertilizer to them.

There are two methods of fertilization:

First, when you repot the succulent plants, add some organic fertilizers to the bottom of the pot, such as chicken manure fertilizer, bean cake fertilizer, etc.

Second, when watering, you can put a few grains of compound fertilizer in the water, let the fertilizer dissolve, and then water it with the succulents.

4. Beheading

If you want the succulent plants to quickly grow out of the pot, you can also use the beheading method.

The so-called beheading method is to cut off the top of the succulent plant, which can suppress the apical dominance of the succulent plant and allow the succulent plant to sprout more side branches, so that the effect of growing in a group can be achieved quickly.

5-leaf cutting method

Choose healthy succulent leaves and spread them out flat together. This way, after the succulents sprout new buds, they will soon burst out of the pot.

1. First, spread the succulents on paper and let them dry for a while to allow the wounds on the leaves to heal as soon as possible.

2. Spread the leaves flat on the soil and spray water every three or four days before the seedlings emerge. Do not water them, as watering will easily cause the leaves to rot.

3. In about a month, you can see new plants growing densely, and it’s that simple to make the pot overflow.
