Can the cut asparagus fern be cultivated in water? How to plant it in transplants?

1. Can it be hydroponically grown?

Cut asparagus fern generally cannot be grown in water, and the cut branches usually will not take root when grown in water. If you want to carry out hydroponics, you must use seedlings with roots, otherwise no roots will grow after hydroponics. When hydroponically cultivating the plants, the roots must be cleaned without any old soil, and the old and rotten roots must be slightly trimmed before use, otherwise it will directly affect its growth.

2. Method of inserting live

1. Prepare a hydroponic container: Before hydroponics, you must first prepare a clean container. You can put some clean perlite in it and then add no more than 2/3 of water.

2. Handling the cuttings: After trimming the roots, the trimmed wounds need to be properly disinfected, otherwise they will easily rot when grown in hydroponics. Generally, carbendazim is used to disinfect wounds.

3. Carry out cuttings: insert the pruned and disinfected cuttings into a container of water, and ensure the water is clean during the rooting period. It usually takes three days to change the water and it will take about a month to survive.
