How to grow hyacinth in hydroponics

How to grow hyacinth in hydroponics

1. Planting bulbs

When you get the hyacinth, wash its bulbs first, then add clean water to the vase, and keep a distance of 2 to 5 mm between the water surface and the bulbs. Never put the entire bulb in the water, otherwise it will affect the breathing of the roots. Then, as the roots continue to grow, the water level will begin to lower, allowing the roots to continue growing in an orderly manner.

2. Shading and root protection

During the time it takes to grow roots, place it in a completely dark environment and adjust the temperature to around 9 degrees. You can find darker-colored paper and wrap the vase to block out the light. This will allow its roots to grow better. At the same time, place it in a cool and ventilated place.

3. Relocation and maintenance

When its flower buds grow to 5 to 8 cm in height, you can move it to a warm environment for maintenance. At this time, you can adjust the temperature to between 15 and 21 degrees, which will be conducive to its growth.

4. Add nutrient solution

During maintenance, it sometimes requires more nutrients. You can add some nutrient solution to the water regularly according to its needs to meet its growth needs.

5. Change water regularly

During the maintenance period, the water quality must be ensured to be clean. You can change the water once a week or so. When changing the water, be sure not to break its roots. You can slowly pull part of the hyacinth out of the vase.
