1. Reasons

There are three reasons why its roots rot:

1. There is something wrong with its water. It may be that there is too much nutrient solution. We need to remember not to add nutrient solution when it is just starting to take root, otherwise there will be problems with the water quality. It may also be that the quality of the water itself is not up to standard and contains some harmful substances that have a negative impact on it.

2. Water level problem. Please note that its roots cannot be placed entirely in water, otherwise it will lack oxygen and the roots will naturally have problems.

3. Bacteria appeared in its container. When it is eroded, root rot will occur.

2. Solution

There are several steps to solving it, but first we need to determine how rotten the root is. If it is mild, with only the bottom rotten and most of the roots white, then it can be saved. If the rot is severe and only a few roots are growing well, most of them can also be saved. But if all of them are rotten and all those connected to the stem are damaged, then 80% cannot be saved.

Under good conditions for saving it, we first need to wash and cut off the bad roots and leave the white roots. After replacing them, disinfect and dry them, and then cut off some bad leaves. Then fix the roots. If you have just changed the water, you can add VC to relieve it. In addition, we can add some nutrients to it. If too much nutrient solution is added, this step can be skipped. Finally, keep it in a shady place and change the water every three or four days. If there is green moss around it, be sure to remove it.
