How to grow hydroponic spider plants in summer

Summer maintenance tips

Stay hydrated

Of course, hydroponic spider plants do not need to be watered, but the water must be changed frequently. Especially in summer, it is necessary to cool the plants by changing the water. Usually change it every 3 to 4 days, and sprinkle more water around the plants at noon to ensure moist air.

Moderate light

Chlorophytum is a shade-loving plant, but it also needs light. The temperature is high and the sun is strong in summer. Do not expose the spider plant directly to the sun. What it needs is scattered light. It can be placed on the windowsill and properly shaded. After being exposed to the sun, the leaves of spider plants will turn yellow and lose their luster.

Proper fertilization

Most hydroponic spider plants are soaked in nutrient solution and require less fertilizer, but they still need it. Every time you change the water, you can sprinkle a few grains of nitrogen fertilizer into the water, preferably in granular form.

Precautions

Find a relatively large glass tank, try to choose a transparent one for easy viewing

The roots of spider plants need to breathe, so make sure that part of the roots are above the water surface.

The water must be kept clean and changed frequently!

The maintenance of hydroponics in summer is relatively simple. As long as the water environment of the roots is guaranteed, everything else is auxiliary. So easy, right! However, if your spider plant cannot be grown in hydroponics, you should just grow it in soil! Here is the method of growing spider plants at home !
