Causes and treatments for yellowing camellia leaves

Causes and treatments for yellowing camellia leaves

1. Occurrence of pests and diseases

1. Reason: The yellowing of camellia leaves may be due to incorrect maintenance methods, causing it to become sick or infested with insects. Once it is affected by diseases and insect pests, it will grow poorly and the leaves will easily turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: If it is a disease, you need to cut off the diseased leaves in time, and then spray the corresponding fungicide for treatment. If it is an insect pest, you need to brush off the obvious pests first, then cut off the leaves with many pests, and then spray insecticide to eliminate the pests.

2. The air is too dry

1. Reason: It prefers a moist growing environment and cannot grow in a dry place for a long time. If the air humidity is very low where it is grown, its leaves may be affected by the environment and slowly turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: You can directly move the plant to a place with higher air humidity for maintenance. If you have a humidifier, you can also place it to increase the humidity of the surrounding air and help it recover.

3. Excessive watering

1. Reason: It doesn’t like waterlogging. If there is water in the soil where it is grown, its roots will be waterlogged and gradually rot. Once the roots rot, the amount of water and nutrients they absorb from the soil will decrease, and the leaves will turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: First cut off the leaves that have turned yellow and the roots that have turned black and rotten. Then plant it in new soil with good drainage and slowly maintain it.
