Growing succulents on wooden stakes

There are actually a lot of old wooden stumps thrown away on the roadside and on the mountains. Careful flower lovers can pick them up and take them home to grow succulents. They are beautiful, breathable and can also provide nutrients. It is really a good deal!

How to make flower pots with wooden stakes?

1. First, use electric grinders, saws and other tools to make a hole in the wood pile, and then cut off the corners you don’t like according to your personal preferences;

2. Fill the hole with some nutrient soil, vermiculite and other media, then wrap the roots of the succulents with sphagnum moss that has been soaked in water and squeezed out, stuff it into the soil, and then fill the surrounding area with sphagnum moss.

Sphagnum moss will become soft after being soaked in water, and will quickly clump after drying, making it easy for succulents planted on it to be fixed.

3. If the wooden stakes are large enough, you can fill the entire pit with succulents and then lay some pebbles for decoration.

When growing succulents with wooden stakes, you don’t have to worry about overwatering, because the stakes have many holes and good air permeability, and the sphagnum moss is also very absorbent, so the succulents are not likely to have root rot.

So, flower lovers, when you walk on the road, you must have a wandering gaze and the perseverance to pick up scraps.
