What are the cultivation methods and precautions of hibiscus

Hibiscus Introduction

Hibiscus, also known as frost-resistant flower, belongs to the Malvaceae family and is a common ornamental plant in gardens. When it is propagated, it is generally propagated by cuttings, which is carried out in October and November each year. It requires relatively sturdy branches for cuttings, and the soil needs to be kept moist after planting.

Hibiscus cultivation method

Hibiscus prefers a warm and humid growing climate and is not very cold-resistant. When caring for it, the temperature needs to be kept between 20-28 degrees. If the temperature is lower than 15 degrees, it will enter a dormant state. It usually needs sufficient sunlight. If the light is not sufficient, the leaves will fade.

Watering method

Hibiscus should be watered according to the current climate. In summer, it generally needs to be watered twice a week. In winter, because the temperature is relatively low, watering should be reduced.

Fertilization method

Hibiscus needs to be fertilized appropriately at ordinary times, and the amount of fertilizer needs to be increased in spring to ensure that it has sufficient nutrients for growth. Some organic fertilizer can be applied.

Pruning methods

During the maintenance period, hibiscus needs to be pruned in time, and the dead branches and rotten leaves should be cut off. When yellow leaves appear, they need to be cut off in time.

Hibiscus cultivation precautions

When caring for hibiscus, you need to be careful and apply sufficient base fertilizer when planting. During the maintenance period, you can apply top dressing according to the growth trend at that time. In normal times, there should also be a good ventilation environment to reduce the occurrence of diseases and pests.
