How to make a small bonsai of fortune tree

It is not difficult to find a bonsai of the lucky tree you like, but wouldn’t it be better if you planted it yourself, from sowing to shaping?

Seed treatment

Wash: Wash the dirt off the surface of the seeds you bought, and make sure you can see clear veins on the surface of the seeds.

Soak in water: Soak the seeds in warm water for 2 days. The seeds will crack one after another within two days and can be taken out after cracking. Remember that the seeds can only be soaked for two days. If the time is too long, the seeds will easily rot.

Planting

Arrange seeds: The seeds of the money tree are relatively large, so it is not advisable to arrange them too densely when planting. The distance between seeds should be 0.3 cm. Pay attention to the placement angle and try to fill the entire pot.

Spray water: Place the seeds flat on the potting soil and spray water back and forth 4 times to make the soil and seeds completely wet.

Spread medical stone: The seeds of the money tree are relatively large, so you need to spread a layer of medical stone on the surface of the seeds until the seeds are completely invisible.

Light pressure: After laying the medical stone, there will be gaps between the seeds and the medical stone, making it appear loose. At this time, press lightly with your palm to make it tightly combined.

Maintenance

Covering: Seeds often have a strong supporting force when they are taking root, so wrap the entire container with plastic wrap after planting to prevent the roots from breaking away from the soil and scattering due to excessive supporting force during the rooting period.

Long leaves: Although the money tree is a large plant, it will not grow too tall when potted because of limited growing space. Place it indoors and spray water once every two days.

Shaping: After the leaves grow, the shape of the plant is basically determined. With a little pruning, the small money tree bonsai is ready!
