Don’t throw away the “leaves” on the radish. Plant them in the soil and water them. Eating them is more useful than “calcium tablets”!

Vegetables and fruits are indispensable in our daily life. After all, we may rely on them to provide our energy for the whole day. Huahua believes that the balconies in most people's homes are now not just used to dry clothes. Planting some vegetables, fruits and melons on the balcony is fun and you can feel more at ease when eating them.

Many flower lovers and Huahua left messages asking what vegetables to plant on the balcony so that they can grow faster. Huahua asked some senior flower lovers who love to grow vegetables and learned about a kind of vegetable that grows fast and has a high nutritional value. Eating it has a similar effect to taking calcium tablets. This vegetable is called radish greens.

If we only talk about radish tops, many friends may not know what kind of vegetable it is. In fact, radish tops are the leaves on the top that we usually throw away when we eat radishes. In fact, if you collect these leaves and plant them in the soil, you can harvest a large piece. It is a good choice whether you stir-fry it or eat it cold.

We know that radish is a vegetable with rich nutritional value, and the radish leaves grown on it are no less nutritious. Radish greens are high in nutrients and are known as "natural calcium tablets." After eating it, people can replenish the vitamins and various trace elements needed by the body. Long-term consumption can also aid digestion, clear away heat and detoxify. It really is a vegetable rich in calcium.

Since radish tops are so nutritious, we naturally cannot waste them. Not only should we not throw them away casually when eating radishes in the future, we can also plant some on the balcony at home. Because they grow very fast and there is no rigid maturity standard, they can be eaten after about half a month of growth.

To plant radish tops, we first need to prepare planting containers. You can use flower pots or foam boxes, which depends entirely on how much you want to plant. The next step is to prepare radish seeds, which can be purchased in the market or online. The soil for planting radish tops can be ordinary garden soil or leaf mold. They have a strong adaptability to the soil and there is no need to worry about problems such as dying.

We scatter the seeds into the soil. When scattering the seeds, we should pay attention to the spacing. The depth of the seeds buried in the soil is about 3mm. If conditions permit, you can scatter some base fertilizer in the soil before planting, so that the radish leaves will grow more vigorously in the later stage. After sowing the radish leaves, remember to water them sufficiently.

After watering, the radish tops grow at an astonishingly fast speed. In about half a month, you can see the tender radish tops coming out of the soil, and then you can pick and eat them. Radish tops are almost fully mature after about a month of growth, and are great for making stuffing or cooking. If you only want to eat radish tops and don't want to grow radishes, you don't need to apply fertilizer; if you want to harvest radishes, you can regularly apply a little thin fertilizer water to the soil to speed up its growth.

Radish greens are delicious and easy to grow. Flower lovers who love to grow vegetables on the balcony should not miss it!
