How to fertilize balcony vegetables

How to fertilize balcony vegetables

Transplanting and fertilizing

Vegetables need to be transplanted, and after transplanting they need to be watered with nutrient solution, or directly use diluted liquid fertilizer.

Vegetables that are directly sown do not need to be transplanted, just water them directly. After the seeds germinate, spray a small amount of nutrient solution!

Relationship between fertilization and nutrient solution

Different plants have different requirements for water. Basically, they should be watered with nutrient solution once a day. If they are leafy vegetables, they can be watered with nutrient solution twice a day. Note that if it is just ordinary nutrient fertilizer, try to dilute it and spray it in small amounts to avoid fertilizer damage.

Water less nutrient solution during the growing period and more during the fruiting period.

The relationship between watering and fertilization

Clean out excess nutrients in the pot every week and water directly with tap water to allow self-drainage at the bottom of the pot. This prevents harmful substances from remaining in the soil.

Add trace elements to water vegetables. Although there is plenty of sunlight on the balcony, vegetables also need trace elements to grow. You can choose water-soluble fertilizers containing iron, zinc, boron, etc. and use them according to the fertilizer instructions.

The above points are just a summary of common problems in fertilizing vegetables on the balcony. I hope they will be helpful to everyone. To grow good vegetables on the balcony, it is far from enough to just know these things. Hurry up and supplement your knowledge!
