Why is the fragrant vine losing its leaves? What should I do?

1. Lack of light

The fragrant vine grows best in an environment with sufficient light. If it is too dark, the plant will develop poorly, causing the leaves to fall off. Usually put it in a sunny place so that it can receive light throughout the day. Sunbathing not only allows the plant to photosynthesize better, but also helps it to bloom, increase the number of flowers, and make each flower bloom better.

2. Too much fertilizer

The fragrant vine needs certain nutrients during its growth process, but if too much fertilizer is applied, or the fertilizer used is too concentrated, it can easily cause damage to the root system. In this case, the plant will also lose leaves. It is usually necessary to rinse the potting soil with clean water to wash away the residual fertilizer in the soil. The amount of fertilizer used should be controlled in daily maintenance, and it needs to be diluted before application.

3. Lack of water

The fragrant vine usually grows better in a moist place. If there is a lack of water, the leaves will easily dry up and fall off. Water frequently to ensure the soil in the pot is moist. However, since it is not tolerant to waterlogging, you should not water it too much, especially not allow water to accumulate, otherwise it will easily lead to root rot. When the rainy season comes, the rainwater needs to be drained to prevent the roots from being submerged in water.

4. Unsuitable temperature

The scented vine is a tropical plant, so it has relatively high temperature requirements. Too high or too low temperatures will affect its development and cause leaves to fall off. The temperature should be kept between 20-30℃ so that the plants can grow healthily. If the temperature is higher than 35℃, you need to spray water to cool it down. If the temperature is below 10℃, the plants need to be placed in a warm place to avoid frostbite.
