What to do if the leaves of the lucky tree curl and droop

What to do if the leaves of the lucky tree curl and droop

1. Adjust the environment

Reason: Some newly purchased lucky trees may have curled leaves due to sudden changes in the environment. Because the environment of the flower shed is generally humid and well ventilated. However, after buying it home, the indoor environment is not as good as that of the flower shed. The air humidity is low and the ventilation performance is not good enough. The changes in the environment will have a greater impact on the growth of the plant.

Measures: Move the plant to a well-ventilated place, spray water around the plant with a spray bottle to increase the humidity in the air, and continue until the plant recovers.

2. Increase Moisture

Reason: The lucky tree prefers a warm and humid environment and has certain requirements for water. If you do not water the plant enough during normal maintenance, the plant will not absorb enough water during its growth, and the transpiration of its leaves will consume a lot of water. With the two combined, the plant will show symptoms of water shortage and its leaves will become curled.

Measures: It is necessary to replenish water in time, increase the frequency and amount of watering, and use a spray bottle to spray the leaves to replenish water for the leaves.

3. Enhance lighting

Reason: The plant needs a certain amount of light to grow, and sufficient light can enable it to grow normally. The same is true for the lucky tree. Although it is relatively shade-tolerant, it cannot be kept indoors without light all the time. If the indoor light is always too weak or there is no light, its leaves will curl and droop.

Measures: You can move it outdoors to a sunny place for maintenance every few days, but be careful to avoid strong light.

4. Drain water in time

Reason: Many plants fail to grow well mostly because of overwatering. If you water the lucky tree too much, water will accumulate in the soil. This will hinder root breathing, thereby causing root damage, making it difficult to transport nutrients to the entire plant. Curling and drooping leaves is one of the external manifestations.

Measures: Large lucky trees need to be moved to a ventilated place with scattered light, and the soil should be loosened to allow excess water in the soil to evaporate faster and restore the soil to dryness. If it is a small potted plant, you can take out the roots, trim off the damaged roots, and then change the soil and replant it.
