How to remedy rose root rot

How to remedy rose root rot

1. Control water and fertilizer

If you find signs of root rot in the rose, you need to control the application of water and nutrients first, which can reduce the impact on the roots and reduce the burden on the roots.

2. Remove the pot and prune the roots

If the root rot is severe, the plant needs to be removed from the pot. First loosen the surrounding soil appropriately, then slowly take out the plant, do not damage the main roots, prepare a pair of sharp scissors, sterilize them in advance, and carefully cut off the rotten parts.

3. Root treatment

After cutting off the rotten roots, they should be washed in clean water to expose the white roots, and then soaked in carbendazim for disinfection. Then place it in a well-ventilated place to dry the roots, and you can replant it after a period of time.

4. Prepare the soil

Do not use the previous flower pots anymore because they are infected with bacteria. You need to prepare suitable flower pots and soil. The flowerpot should be larger than the plant, which is conducive to its later growth and development and to the growth of the root system.

5. Planting in pots

After processing, you can replant it into the flowerpot, fill the pot with a layer of soil, and then plant the plant in it. Pay attention to maintenance in the later stage, do not apply too much water and fertilizer, and maintain a good temperature.
