What to do if the leaves of coleus become soft

What to do if the leaves of coleus become soft

1. Block out strong light

Coleus likes plenty of light, but cannot tolerate strong light. If the light is very strong, it will cause the leaves to become soft. It's easier in other seasons. In the summer, the intensity of sunlight is very strong. If you encounter strong light, you need to block it in time and only be exposed to soft scattered light. This way, you will recover after a period of time.

2. Continue maintenance

If coleus has just been moved to a new environment for maintenance, it may not adapt to the surroundings due to differences in light, temperature, humidity and other factors, which can easily cause the leaves to become soft. Or the plant has just been transplanted and the roots have not yet grown well, so it has not fully adapted. There is no need to worry in this case, just keep it in the original environment and wait for the plant to adapt and recover.

3. Replenish water

Coleus likes moisture and needs sufficient water to ensure its growth. If there is a lack of water, the leaves will easily become soft. Especially in summer, sufficient water is needed to meet the root water needs. And spray water on the leaves frequently to maintain good air humidity.

4. Change the soil

It needs suitable soil to grow. If the soil is not suitable and there is a problem with the foundation for growth, the leaves will naturally become soft. The soil can be changed, and ordinary garden soil can meet the growth needs.
